Allenspark, located just 25 minutes south of Estes Park, is home to about 500 people, along with an abundance of wildlife and scenery. Schools
Allenspark students attend the Estes Park School District R-3. Bus service is available from Allenspark. The district serves grades K-12, with about 1,200 students total in the elementary, middle, and high schools. There is also an enrichment program for homeschooled students.

Medical Facilities
The Estes Park Medical Center is the nearest hospital to Allenspark. It provides medical and surgical services, obstetrics, home health and hospice services, a 24-hour emergency department, and a 24-hour Advanced Life Support Ambulance Service. It is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center, and board-certified physicians in many different specialities are available.

Commute
Allenspark is about 25 minutes from Estes Park, and about an hour from Boulder. Because many of the homes in this area are fairly isolated, these commute times can be somewhat longer.

Parks and Recreation
Rocky Mountain National Park‘s Wild Basin is accessible from Allenspark. Hikers can choose from waterfalls, glacial lakes, or mountain summits. The Arapaho National Forest offers many additional hiking options.
Horseback riding, fishing, and rock climbing opportunities can be found in both the National Park and National Forest. Cross-country skiing is popular at nearby Brainard Lake, and downhill skiing is just a bit further, at Eldora.
