About Drake

Drake is an unincorporated community located in the Big Thompson Canyon, on Hwy 34 between Estes Park and Loveland, Colorado.  Most homes are either located along the river, or on the shoulders of Storm Mountain, which sits above the junction of Hwy 34 and CR 43. Bighorn sheep are frequent visitors to the canyon walls in and around Drake.

This resilient community suffered greatly during the 2013 floods, but as with previous floods, is rebuilding and stronger than ever.
